When to Go

Grand Teton is open every day of the year but almost all services are closed in the winter months. The months of June through September are the busiest in the park with visitation peaking in July. Winter visitors (December to April) are primarily cross country skiers. The third week of September is an excellent time to visit the park as the aspen are changing color and visitation is beginning to drop as children are back in school. The National Park Service maintains visitor statistics on their website here.
